Dreamweaver is actually very good as long as you *don't* use it in
WYSIWYG mode (except for minor clean-up after the real design work is
done). It can help you automate lots of tasks and speeds code writing
a lot. It does code validation adequately (though not as thoroughly as
the w3c validator).
