I understand pretty well your questioning Boris and this is just a little information which may help you understand why your way of shooting/post processing has not changed from K10 to K7 (as for DR etc.):

This shows one thing, as for DR/Iso response, both K10/K7 are extremely similar. K5 is a totally kettle of fish though.
