After washing, give the film a short soak in Kodak Photoflo. Just follow the 
directions on the bottle. Then gently "squeegee" the film between your second 
and third fingers, wiping it from top to bottom as it's hanging. If you have 
rough skin, skip this part. Don't use a commercial film squeegee. They suck. 
But Photoflo is the key to clean negs.
