Only semi-OT because 99% of my images are created with a Pentax camera.

May not happen on a Mac, I'm a Windoze user ... might not actually be an Adobe problem, might be Windoze. I don't know at this point.

I needed to look at a JPEG file I'd created, so I could determine if it would suit a purpose I wanted to use it for. Having located it with Windoze search, and noting that it was an Adobe Bridge file, I double clicked it to open Bridge.

When I installed CS5, I left the CS3 installation intact. JPEG files are apparently still associated with Bridge CS3.

When I double click a JPEG, it opens Bridge CS3. And with Bridge CS3 open, any files I open with Photoshop from Bridge CS3 open with Photoshop CS3.

So I went into Windoze and changed the file association for JPEG files to Bridge CS5.

When I tested it, it's still opening them with Bridge CS3.

I even tried changing the association to a completely different program, the Paint program that comes with Windoze, rebooted and then changed it to Bridge CS5 and rebooted again.

It's still opening with Bridge CS3.

Any ideas?
