ever seen an 8x10 fujichrome on a light table? absolutely mindblowing image quality.
It was discontinued about the time I was born, but Kodachrome used to be available as sheet film. I've seen 8x10 Kodachrome that just knocked my eyes out.
About the best I've been able to do for myself is 4x5 chromes, Kodak and Fuji. I haven't really been able to acquire enough experience to have settled on one over the other.
One I do like a lot is Type-55 Polaroid, although that too has been discontinued & what little I have left in the refrigerator is likely to be all I ever get to use.
