If I'm not mistaken the endoscopic part would be small and connected
to the camera's mount by means of fiber optics. The image is normally
round (which is why the 110 format is square). I'm guessing that if
you put a normal 35mm lens on it, it would more than cover the image
format, so would no longer be round. The similarly used 35mm equiv.
cameras were the MF (35mm half frame) and MF-1 (35mm full frame). I
don't believe that any of these cameras has a ground glass, so not
sure how that would work for "viewfinder" purposes.

The PS-PEII appears to have a connector for a monitor hook-up. I'm
assuming this gave a constant image to the endoscope "guider" and a
still image could be captured at the operator's discretion. I still
think this camera may have had more than one purpose: endoscopy and
photomicroscopy, but I can't prove it.
