I'm sure you'll enjoy the K-r if Larry's experience with the one he tested
is anything to go by.

Regarding a flash, keep in mind that the K-r doesn't support TTL.  You will
need a flash that offers P-TTL. So models such as the AF330FTZ or AF400FTZ
won't work properly and you'll need something like the AF360FGZ.  Check out
the K-mount page

Alternatively, you could go for one of the older flashes that offer auto
flash control such as the AF280T.
