One of my brothers suggested I do my mother's eulogy as a Powerpoint
presentation.

Not quite having the bottle for that, here is something I have just put

Powerpoint can be a useful tool for presentations *IF YOU KNOW WHAT YOU'RE DOING*

Too many don't.

They get side-tracked by all the available gew-gaw gimmcrackery and loose sight of the purpose, i.e. to visually convey an over-all message as a series of inter-related coherent points.

Almost all of the presentations I saw at this years PPNC convention were done with power point, and they were all powerful and effective.

There wasn't a single flying spinning exploding text in the whole lot.
