Unfortunately the original definition of an HDR image seems to have
become distorted, RAW files by definition are HDR images, I suspect
that it's more radical tone-mapping that you abhor ;-)
You are correct - I was referring to the radical mapping of nasty colors and halos all
that is related to the "artsy" style of HDR images.
