Brian, at this point you should have all the information you need to make a decision to buy this lens, but I must add my impression. It's dazzling images are truly outstanding. SDM has worked flawlessly for me since buying it a couple years ago. The price makes it a real bargain considering the quality of the images it's capable of producing.
