"Waxwing slain"? Eww! Poor birdie. Glad these two are alive and kicking (or perching). Seriously, thanks for your comments, everyone. I've never seen these birds before Saturday. At first, because of their crests, I thought they were female cardinals, but once I saw them in the viewfinder I knew they were something else. I'm generally happy with the results - only got a few shots before they flew off.
