If you click on the KEH "grade", it brings up their rating system. My experience is they *APPLY* those ratings very conservatively.
I have purchased BGN grade items from KEH and when I inspected the item upon receipt, the appearance was such that I would have rated the item higher based on KEH's published criteria.
That said, given the choice of BGN or EX from KEH, I usually opt for EX because the prices are not that much higher, while the equipment is often that much better.
I think you get the highest quality per dollar spent by buying the EX grade from KEH.
