Well I'd been thinking about leaving for a while so it's just the kick in the 
rear that I needed.  I'd much rather look upon it as an opportunity :)

It's actually a lot easier for me than it is for my colleagues who are busy 
negotiating the terms of their new contracts.  I'm doing what I can to provide 
them with moral support and advice where I can (my 2 cents worth anyway).

Thanks to everyone for the comments.  It's certainly been an interesting ride 
so far.

There was one in Victoria of all places the other day.

There was a 6.5 just west of Taupo yesterday but it was so deep that no damage 
was caused despite being felt over a very wide area.

It's been pretty quiet down here, a couple of small nudges but nothing I'd 
consider notable.  Here's hoping it stays that way.
