Sure you don't have to worry about it, the camera thinks the card is locked and won't write to it, nor will any properly designed card reader. I wish I could get large capacity MMC cards which are just SD cards without a lock tab. But there is no such thing as a large capacity MMC card...

Almost all my cards have af glued lock these days. I wish Pentax had stayed 
with the CF cards, which are much more durable.
