My total car expenses last year were A$5785 = US$6100 approximately, with fuel costing A$1486, for total travel of 11582 kilometres, approximately 12.8 cents/k for fuel and 50 cents/k overall. It would be interesting to convert everyone's costs to the same basis, using an agreed exchange rate for currencies and basing it on a cost per mile/kilometre travelled: don't have time myself at the moment!

It totaled to: 10150 miles, 41.7 miles per gallon, $785.00 (£486 at current conversion costs).
