True, it's a question of definitions. It's definitely terrorism in one
sense, but not necessarily associated with a "terrorist" organization
(which is what the media often seem to imply), or even intended to cause
fear as a way of reaching a certain political goal (which some would say
must be a part of such a terrible act for it to become terrorism.)

OK - I was just thinking of it as general terror, but one does tend to
think of it as being perpetrated by someone with an agenda -
That could be true of an individual as well as a group.... No matter
who the perp is or perps are or who they are in the political spectrum,
it does seem that "terrorism" describes the bombing at least.

Well, I don't mind...
I completely agree that people, not to mention media, are far too quick
to talk about terrorism when something like this happens. Last time
there was a bomb explosion in Oslo I believe a rather young guy working
on his own turned out to be behind it. (Yes it's happened before - on a
smaller scale, but I think someone got killed. This was many years ago,
though...)
I wasn't in Oslo today, either, by the way...
