Thanks, Bruce: I bought two new external drives of the terabyte size, because with the HP all photos were stored there; I didn't have any photos on my computer hard drive. I haven't started shifting stuff over yet. My working plan is to shift all the photos over to the new externals, but only import into LIghtroom 3 the stuff into I care about or was still tinkering with. It's so weird to open Lightroom 3 and not have any photos in it. Well, tomorrow I'm shooting, so I'll have stuff to import tomorrow. (Did more sewing today :-)) Cheers, Christine
