I've got one of those.  I think the 135/3.5 I had was a bit sharper, and a 
touch sweeter, but it's hard to argue with another stop of speed.  I hardly use 
mine any more though, I always see to grab my 200/2.8 instead.

I think that a lot of it is using your equipment to the best of it's strengths. 
 Some people like to complain about the weaknesses of their gear, other people 
like to exploit it's strengths.
