I bought the K-x as my first new DSLR, and I love it. I'm still a little chapped that the K-r came out so soon afterward, with its fancy-schmancy, illuminated auto-focus points. But, on the whole, I can't complain one iota. In fact, I think there might be some benefit to learning to shoot without such highfalutin whirligigs. Or, at least I find a way to comfort myself with that notion.

I'd love to have the K-5, but it's far beyond my budgetary constraints for the foreseeable future. So, I'll content myself with the slightly less stellar low-light performance of the K-x.

I need to upgrade anyway. I have a Canon Xsi that I better unload while I
can still get some money for it. Lots of new cameras out, all brands, since
I last looked.

If you are using a Pentax, which camera are you using?

Appreciate hearing. And appreciate hearing any thoughts/feelings you have
about it.

If you have a Canon, you might mention that too, which camera. But not
enough to be drummed off list. ;-)
