Hi all,
Took Mr. Larry's K100Ds out with the Tokina SZ-X 28-200 f/3.5-5.3 for a couple
of hours today -- and, man, do I like that combination! I managed to finally
get some butterfly images this year.

I tell you, that lens is the best $20 I've ever spent. It's not pretty, and
there's no snap whatsoever in the aperture. But, fortunately, it's a
functional A lens, and I just love the images it produces.
Any thoughts, comments and/or critiques are most welcome.
Those are very nice. Now consider that the gear you used for them might get
$200 on the open market.
Thanks, Larry.
It's hard to believe, isn't it? I think instead of worrying myself to
death over getting a K-5, maybe I'll get a good used older camera to
complement my K-x. Because I really do like the the images your camera
produces, and I don't really have that great a need for stunning
low-light performance -- mostly because I just haven't learned how to
shoot very well in low light.
(Thanks again, Larry! I hope I don't "lose" your camera!)
The friend that wants to buy it from me would be rather upset.
Yeah, I wouldn't blame him. Poor guy/gal.
