I looked up golden-mantle and from the few pics I see, agree they look 
virtually identical. One description; "The Golden-mantle is a small 
chipmunk-like squirrel." Described color tones may vary some, but you may be 
right Ann.

ground squirrel... not a chippy...

never saw that before... just love it, wish I'd taken it, etc.
