Hi all,

Here's my deal... I have a couple of clients for whom I do product
photography -- small businesses who need images for their websites &
promotional materials. Usually, they send me the items, and I charge
an hourly rate for photographing & editing. It works pretty well.

Recently, one of them asked me to come to their place, and spend the
day photographing a bunch more stuff, one-of-a-kind-type items that
they have. And... asking what is my day rate?

So. My question is, should the Day Rate = Hourly Rate x 8? Should it
reflect a bulk discount from that price? Should I incorporate a
mark-up that reflects the time I will spend in post? Or charge that
time separately? What about travel? It's about an hour's drive
away... Also, is this where I insist on special provisions, like only
Norwegian spring water in the break room, and kobe beef sliders for
lunch? (kidding!)

Thanks for your thoughts, PDMLers...

:)
