The film types are exactly the same as both types of camera use the same 
film type: 120 roll film.  The smaller format gives you more pictures per 
roll.

There are no interchangeable backs for the 6x7 - it's much more like 35mm 
in that respect.  (Other manufacturers systems may have interchangeable 
backs.
