I've just secured what appears to be a fairly rare Takumar, the SMC
Takumar 45-125mm f4.
Introduced along with it's K-mount sister at the end of the screwmount
era, it shows a price of $550 in my 1975 Pentax Price Guide (the 5th
most expensive Takumar lens sold at that time). The K-mount version
was $50 cheaper.

A few K-mount versions seem to be offered, but no screwmount versions
currently and none in the last 30 days.
By today's standards, a fairly limited zoom range, but reviews of it
optically are pretty good. On a DSLR it will give the equiv. of a
68-188mm.
When it gets here, I can get to work on having the first SMC Takumar
45-125mm image to be admitted to the Pentax Photo Gallery (Zero
images, currently).
