Thanks for the reply, J.C. Even without the reviews, given its shorter zoom range and the fixed aperture across the zoom range, it appeared (to me) that the optical designers were going for optical quality over what the marketing department would want (faster apertures and longer zoom range). I should have it in my grubby little paws on Monday or so. Should serve to tide me over until my 35 Macro Limited arrives at the end of the week.
