Oh totally, yeah. ;-)

Smirking aside, it was a marvelous and enlightening experience. These
women are self assured and very comfortable in their skin and bodies.
As a result I was perfectly comfortable moving around them, carefully
composing shots and absolutely _not_ feeling like a complete perv. I
spent the weeks leading up to this event wondering just how I'd
behave, and the last thing I expected was a calm, contemplative
detachment.

But not disinterested. What attracts me to the idea of pinups is that
they are not asexual nude figure studies. There is a layer of
eroticism there, and I want to capture that. As a guy, I need to react
to the presence of an attractive nude or almost nude woman in front of
me, but remain detached enough to get good shots.

Now that's a skill I will really enjoy learning. I've already given it
some thought and I plan to pursue it.
