Questions about Safari ver. 5.02

first update Safari; according to this list

<http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Safari_version_history>

your Safari version is out of date even if you are running OS X 10.5; i have Safari 5.1.7 in OS X 10.7.3

it keeps crashing and store lots of files in
it's cache then crashes.

from what you write, i don't see how you derived a causal relationship between caching info and crashing; the number one cause of Safari crashes for me is (or was) Flash; when i started using 10.7 i never installed Flash and it is many weeks between Safari crashes (and i push Safari hard with many dozens of tabs open and many of them dynamic sites); if i need Flash i use Chrome, which has Flash built-in

you could also consider one of many Flash-managing extensions for Safari; i can't remember off-hand what i used for this purpose on 10.5, but it made Safari less crash-prone; still Safari was much more crashy on that OS version
