I've been thinking about it lately, been wanting to do embedded stuff since 
about 20 years ago and never quite got around to it.  I did some dabbling with 
DSP stuff at work several years ago which was interesting and I've had projects 
since then which would have been much simpler with a micro.

At the moment I'm getting pissed off at the fact that it seems impossible to 
buy high frequency magnetic components (ferrite cores etc) unless you're a 
manufacturer.  If anyone has pointers...
