So far no one has remarked that India a very large place with a population of more than twice North Ameraica's has 40 whole Pentax users! Well done Pentax. (Not making fun of you Subash, making fun of Pentax marketing, which is really to easy).

I have a very enthusiastic photographer friend who wished to form
another Pentax Mail In Forum called iPentax. I wrote back telling him
that there is already a very interesting one called PDML.
He agreed, but said that he was once a member of PDML but spent too
much time reading PDML mail in his Inbox, and less time on his actual
photography.
since i have a feeling the OP might be referring to me (not that it
matters in the larger scheme of things :)) about two and a half years
back i started a googlegroup for pentax users in india (there are about
40 of us there now). mainly because pentax doesn't have an official
presence in india, it is difficult to get pentax gear here unless
one has relatives/friends abroad, so a forum like that, among other
things, is very helpful to circulate available second-hand stuff
around. we also, now and then, post photos and discuss other things.
it's a low-volume mailing list and it serves its purpose.

but i don't recall saying anything on the above line to the OP :) and i
am still very much here in PDML and enjoying the conversations to boot.
imagine PDML without OT or flame war epics :)

what *is* bothering me is, i can't for the life of me figure out why
this guy called steve cottrell is trying to convince us that he is
actually cotty...

Don't lose heart, they might want to cut it out, and they'll want to avoid a
lengthly search.
