ours is pretty good at that, too - they were brilliant at treating my wrist
when I broke it - and at the other extreme of dealing with things like
cancer. As a family we've easily had our money's worth out of the system for
cancer treatments.

Where it's a bit crap is in dealing with some of the middling stuff. I saw
about 6 different GPs over several years before one of them finally referred
me to an ENT specialist when I was first dealing with cholesteatoma.
Meanwhile each of them came up with different wrong diagnoses and
treatments. Once I had the referral everything went brilliantly, luckily,
otherwise I'd be dead by now.

Similarly, I've been having these foot problems periodically for 3 or 4
years now, and it's only by by-passing my GP and going straight to a private
physiotherapist that I've actually been given a diagnosis and some treatment
that makes sense.
