Pop Photo's long standing testing method is confined on the lens only. As I roughly understand it, the lenses are firmly affixed to a bench, a beam of light (laser?) shown through them and by some unknown method, the light dispersion (or?) is/are then measured. They have always referred to their published results as being "subjective." Suppose they are referring to the converting of measured results to print sizes.

That lens hasn't changed since then really, so testing criteria must have. On 11/20/2012 5:04 PM, Jack Davis wrote: > I'm sort of in a funk after reading DXO's Pentax lens test results.
