Bruce, I took a close look at your rendering and honestly don't see an appreciable difference between yours and mine. However, I wasn't able to pull yours up for a closer look. The version posted is a downsized jpeg from a crop which is less than 20% of the original file. Considering Ann's comments and those of mine above, I'm comfortable with what I have. I don't mind at all your downloading and doing some editing if you like and appreciate your thoughts.

There's only so much one can do with a 900px image, but just for grins I did some "nature retouching". :-) Here's my attempt; see what you think: https://www.dropbox.com/s/5ukowkramcjnm8v/RedTailHawk%28bmw%29.jpg I'll remove it after Ann has rendered her verdict. :-) On Tue, Jan 8, 2013 at 4:29 PM, Jack Davis <jdavi...@yahoo.com> wrote: > Bruce, at your urging, I applied "despeckle" filter in addition to "reduce > noise" filter and bumped the contrast a bit more. > > I see some smoothing. > > Jack > > http://photolightimages.com/aspupload/detail.asp?ID=666 > > ----- Original Message ----- > From: Bruce Walker <bruce.wal...@gmail.com> > To: Pentax-Discuss Mail List <pdml@pdml.net> > Cc: > Sent: Tuesday, January 8, 2013 10:47 AM > Subject: Re: PESO: Red Tail > > That's a hell of a pose, Jack.
