Funny, it's the same AoV as the 58/1.4 that was effectively my only lens for about 20 years. The prime I almost never use on APS is my 50. Too long for a standard, too wide for a portrait, unless I'm shooting full body portraits. I think the reason I most often shoot at 50mm is because my 16-50 won't go any further. I bet that a K01 with the new 40 would be an awesome coat pocket camera. Just enough smaller than my DA40 on my K-x to make it a lot easier to slip into a jacket or a cargo pocket.
