my Sigma 105mm EX macro is too big/heavy to carry regularly (for me); i do carry it when i think i may want it
the DA 100mm macro is significantly smaller and lighter than my Sigma, so i have considered switching, but it hasn't been a priority (the Sigma came to me at a rather groovy price)
