Queenie has been a downtown fixture since I moved to Toronto in the mid-nineties. She has always walked hunched over her walker, often gesturing wildly with one arm, almost always talking to herself, sometimes screeching as she walks along.
Looking back I am surprised, quite frankly, that she's still around. I guess she's tenacious if nothing else.
