Hi Christine,
No, the D90 is much older and not truly comparable to the K-5. I'd say
perhaps the D7000 is the camera he is looking for (with a few pluses and a
few minuses compared with the K-5).

A friend will be buying a Nikon, and he wants a recommendation. I'd like to
recommend an equivalent to the K-5--similar specs etc. Would the D90 be the
