Thank you, Frank. And don't worry about me taking that the wrong way.
She bickered with her mother about outfits off and on, and that was one was a compromise between them. Overall, though, they're happy with the shots and I was pretty satisfied, myself. Next time, I think I'll tell her mom I want Alisa to do a shoot that's "all about Alisa" so I can really capture her personality. Her mom is a sweet woman, but she just has a lot of "big ideas". ;)
Thanks again, Frank! I appreciate the input. -- Walt On 6/18/2013 8:02 AM, knarftheria...@gmail.com wrote:
I mispoke. It's the series where she's wearing the white top with pink flowers that I had a teeny issue with. The last photos in the blue outfit work very well. Cheers, frank --- Original Message --- From: Walt <ldott...@gmail.com> Sent: June 18, 2013 6/18/13 To: "Pentax-Discuss Mail List" <pdml@pdml.net> Subject: GESO: Alisa W. photo shoot -- 6/17/13 (50 images) I woke up today with an itch to take some photos and decided, what the hell -- I'll see if I can find someone to pose for me. So, I updated my Facebook status to see if anyone might be interested. Shortly thereafter, I got a response from a friend of mine who's been telling me for quite a while that she wants me to photograph her daughter. She was ready to get it underway within two hours, but I told her I had to make some arrangements with a friend of mine to see if I could use his place to take some shots and that we ought to shoot for the early afternoon, just to give him a little bit of notice. I called, he agreed, and we all went out there and started shooting. This is the product after my initial run-through of the more easily workable shots: http://www.flickriver.com/photos/walt_gilbert/sets/72157634187251295/ All shot with the K-5 and F50/1.7 with my recently purchased flash unit attached. I didn't bother with any wireless stuff as I wanted to play it safe and didn't want any big surprises. Also, I didn't realize until I got home that I'd had the diffuser in my pocket the whole time. So, some of the shots came out a tad harsh, but overall, I have to say I'm pretty pleased with what I was able to do. All shots were done hand-held with manual flash. Comments appreciated. Thanks! -- Walt
