well I misunderstood that as well (check archives) just thought it was a matter of semantics...

and frankly, whatever you call it, I certainly favor checking settings
and making them all manual for shooting from the hip, or out a window
of a moving train or bus.

I'll skip the "walk toward ... " part of his lesson :-)

From my experience with Chris, that reads exactly like something he'd write.
Right down to misunderstanding the difference between hyperfocal distance
and "zone focusing".
