Sadly I don't know of anything like that, probably something got bent
very slightly out of alignment inside the lens. If it's built anything
like the F 70-210 there are a lot of candidates. If it doesn't require
replacement parts, Eric Hendrickson can probably set it to right for
about $50 plus shipping, needless to say you're probably better off
finding a replacement at KEH.com. They currently have three in stock,
starting at the outrageous sum of #27.00 plus shipping. Throwing it
away isn't necessary, it would make a lovely paperweight.

Now... it will only focus out to infinity if I'm zoomed to 100mm or less. An
80-100mm zoom isn't very useful.
Is there... is there anything SIMPLE that might fix this? A simple "remove rubber
ring, loosen some sorta screw to adjust infinity focus and be on my way" kind of fix?
I only paid $35 for this 6 years ago, but I don't want to throw it away if I
don't have to.
