Well caught essence of neon there, Frank. I love neon!

I have some fond memories of the ElMo; heard some great (and not so
great) bands there. I even had a run-in with the long-time booker and
coke addict, Dan Burke. We were invited guests of Jon Long (of Long &
McQuade) to the reunion gig of Moxy in 2001 and were wandering in to
find our seats early. Dan saw us and ranted loudly about the public
not being allowed in yet. "There's a process, people!" he screamed.
That has become our favourite TO music scene quote.

But yeah, it's a dump. All the best places are: Grossmans, in particular.
