Thanks to those who looked & commented. All with the K7, mostly with the FA 100-300mm.

Dave, it looks barren because it is the end of the dry season & no appreciable rain has fallen yet. This is a shot taken at the same place (different view) at the end of Nov. 2012. The rolling grasslands are much greener.

Such a barren looking landscape, except for the river of course.  I like the
first one of the blue hills, and also the weaver.
