I have been using my Pentax 20-35 MM and a Sigma 70-300 MM and have been mostly happy with the results from these two lenses on my ist DS. But the man in the middle is an elder lens (Tamron 35-135 mm Manual Zoom and focus) and I think it is time to replace it.
sounds like the perfect opportunity to get a 50mm prime; i really like the SMC Pentax-A 50mm f/1.7, but if you need autofocus i understand the DA 50/1.8 is quite good for the price
