Hopefully people in the icestorm areas have filled their bathtubs with water and have gas stoves. In the event of a long power outage, a big pot of water on the gas stove can generate a lot of heat (and helpful humidity). Put fridge and freezer contents in the garage (assuming colder than fridge temps). C
Stan is correct... walking under any tree can be hazardous. A limb can break off at any moment, particularly if moved by a sudden breeze. Also, those limbs bring down power lines (the cause of many local outages).
