I'm using Microsoft security essentials on my main desktop and laptop (Win 7 & Vista). My scanning machine which has to run XP to support Nikon Scan is using AVG - I used to use MSE on it but when the hard drive failed and I had to reinstall I went with AVG on a whim. On all machines I run Malware Bytes periodically - it is an on demand scan program and is pretty good at getting anything that may have slipped through.

After a decade at least of not running any sort of antivirus, I am giving some thought to installing some sort of anti virus/spyware program. What's the consensus on what is a good but not bloated AV program. The last one I ran was a Norton program that was almost worse than getting a virus, so if they have suddenly become good, it might take some convincing.
