First, I occasionally do get paid for photography. Second, he knows that I gave up being a "pro" to stay home with our children, and he wants me to continue to stay home with our children, so understands that it helps for there to be some compensation. Third, he also has an expensive hobby -- computer gaming. (Which never brings any money in; only takes it out.) So he understands expensive hobbies.
