Thanks guys, still coming to terms with the issue. The cards were all genuine Sandisk, Extreme 32GB 45MB/s, one new and one old and an earlier Extreme 32GB 30MB/s card, none of which ever gave me the remotest hint of a problem when used in two K5 bodies. Not happy.
