So here is the image I submitted to the last PUG: https://www.flickr.com/photos/pixelsmithy/14043251365/ and here it is more like I wanted it, with couple clicks in the aforementioned Perfect Effects 8 https://www.flickr.com/photos/pixelsmithy/13983938150/
I believe someone may have earlier commented about the horizon not being level. Guilty as charged, but I think the rotation (and accompanying crop) loses something. (That "something" is the sweep of the yellow weeds down the lower right corner, which I think is a big part of the pleasing composition. It creates an "arrowhead" on the lower righthand part of the photo that subconsciously directs your eye into the dark heart of the storm.) I still really like the monochrome version, in which the clouds look even better (i think): https://www.flickr.com/photos/pixelsmithy/14040372551/ On Mon, May 12, 2014 at 11:41 AM, Darren Addy <pixelsmi...@gmail.com> wrote: > From the README (post-installation): > > Optional Integration > > • Adobe Photoshop CS5, CS6, CC > > • Adobe Photoshop Elements 10, 11, 12 > > • Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 4 or 5 > > - - - - - > Also, this is the page that you are redirected to after installing: > http://www.ononesoftware.com/install/effects8 > > > > On Mon, May 12, 2014 at 11:38 AM, Darren Addy <pixelsmi...@gmail.com> wrote: >> While we are at it, here is a list of Perfect Effects 8 tutorial >> videos from the onOne Software U (YouTube channel): >> https://www.youtube.com/user/onOneSoftwareU/search?query=Perfect+Effects+8 >> >> >> On Mon, May 12, 2014 at 11:32 AM, Darren Addy <pixelsmi...@gmail.com> wrote: >>> Saw this while catching up on PetaPixel. >>> Haven't tried it yet (download first, try later) but there is a reason >>> that "FREE" is one of the most powerful words in the English language. >>> http://www.ononesoftware.com/landing/pe8offer/ >>> >>> Note the hefty system requirements. >>> >>> >>> -- >>> Photographers must learn not to be ashamed to have their photographs >>> look like photographs. >>> ~ Alfred Stieglitz >> >> >> >> -- >> Photographers must learn not to be ashamed to have their photographs >> look like photographs. >> ~ Alfred Stieglitz > > > > -- > Photographers must learn not to be ashamed to have their photographs > look like photographs. > ~ Alfred Stieglitz -- Photographers must learn not to be ashamed to have their photographs look like photographs. ~ Alfred Stieglitz -- PDML Pentax-Discuss Mail List PDML@pdml.net http://pdml.net/mailman/listinfo/pdml_pdml.net to UNSUBSCRIBE from the PDML, please visit the link directly above and follow the directions.
