If I download the zip file, it contains a fwdc220b.bin file. That's the firmware file you have to copy to the SD card.

Ok, starting all over again, I get a download file that says “fwdc2200b-2.bin” As you see this file name doesn’t have a capital F and there’s a “-2” When I try to open this file on my iMac, it “archives” the file and I get a file that says “fwdc22ob-2.bin.cpgz”

Should I try to copy the “fwdc220b-2.bin.cpgz” file to the SDHC card?

Christine

Is the file you put on your SD card "Fwdc220b.bin"? You can't just put
the .zip file there, you have to unzip it.*

Is anyone having trouble with this firmware update.
I have—

1) held the MENU button and turned the camera on simultaneously, BUT I get no readings on the back of the LCD—that is, it doesn’t state which version I have. (Though under *Set-up 4* Firmware Info/Options it does state I have version 1.03., which is an update from the original version loaded at purchase of camera—AND I did not have a problem updating to version 1.03)

2) become concerned because if I can’t read anything on the back of the LCD then I won’t be label to see the options to select “START”; “NOW LOADING”; and “COMPLETE”

3) chosen the download “FOR WINDOWS/MACINTOSH” from the page Bruce posted. This is so odd; I’ve never ever had a problem with downloading and installing a firmware update.

Any suggestions?

Cheers, Christine

In case you haven't heard, Ricoh released a firmware update for the

Thanks for the heads up!

I wonder what happened to revisions 1.04 through 1.09 ... ?

Maybe those were internal releases (not available to the general
public) or the numbering is not sequential.
