Ha! I never thought of a hairy bird...

It's interesting that both Larry and Dan guessed about a dog...
Ok, well.. if someone wants to see a hint first and take a second guess
before seeing the answer:

Here is the full photo that clearly shows the rest of the answer:

(And the photo is probably less interesting by itself.)
The funny thing that it all was in a tall barn (that houses giraffes),
and what Dan called "Venetian blinds" may have been some type of
"blinds", but very simple ones.
The photo was taken at Houston Zoo a few months ago.
(I was rather disappointed by the arrangement for the giraffes there.)
Thanks to all who participated. It was fun, and I hope you enjoyed it
as well...
Cheers,

I'm fairly certain it's not Jane, unless she's about to die from
blepharitis. I'll guess that it's a dog, perhaps one sitting on
stairs in a house.

I see venetian blinds to the left of the photographer, and perhaps a
pool behind you. Therefore, I would guess you are at home. That
would suggest the eye probably belongs to your dog.

Mark gave interesting arguments, but one of them is not quite correct.
I laughed at Bob's version!
Ann and Dan made a great observation and figured out half of the answer!
Yes, the reflection is the "selfie". Sort of...
Still remaining the other half, as Dan put it "to whom the eye belongs".
Any other guesses?

Send you answer "on the back of a $20 bill"... or K-3 ;-)
... or just respond to the list. :-)
