Thanks Christine and Bruce. I installed Yosemite on my laptop. So far so good. If it works out okay for another day or two I’ll put it on my iMac — my work computer. Doesn’t seem to have slowed things down noticeably, and this is an old laptop, a 2009 aluminum macbook with a 2 Ghz core duo processor.
